Jellyfish!
One of my personal goals this year is to take more photographs of things that aren’t food. I feel like I’ve been hitting a wall with my food photography and just doing the same things over and over, so I thought that taking photos of other things might breathe some new life and ideas into my food photography. Last month I took a trip to Vancouver, B.C., Canada to visit with my friend Kendra and and we stopped by their gorgeous aquarium. Inside they have several tanks of jellyfish and I had a blast trying to capture photos of them. There is just something about watching them dance through the water that is so mesmerizing. It makes me want a tank of them on my desk for stressful days. After my friend Kendra and I got home, we looked up the cost of owning a couple jellyfish and found that it was actually fairly reasonable (at least compared to what I expected) and was around $200-$300 for everything you’d need. The only sad part is that jellyfish only live for around a year or less, so you’d have to replace them often. I guess I’ll just have to stick with the photos for now.

Those are so beautiful! Jellyfish are so weird, I’m surprised they are so cheap! But only a year? 🙁 Poor jellyfish. Thanks for sharing your meal plan!
