I hope you are each enjoying a relaxing holiday week with your family! I’m enjoying being back in Austin with all my family this year. The land of Whataburger, 70 degree December days, and BBQ brisket is always my favorite. (I can’t even explain to any of you non-Texans the importance of Whataburger, but you Texans know what I’m talking about. Amarillo has the closest Whataburger to Denver, and you bet we stopped there on our road trip down here!)
We’ve been enjoying cooking together and catching up. This is the first time in about 5 years that my sister and I have both been in the same house for Christmas, and it’s been great. We both live out of state now, so it’s been hard to coordinate us having the same holiday free to travel home. Splitting time with the families of significant others is also a tricky thing to navigate as a grown up. How do your families do this?
